"Should we do a "First Look" on our wedding day?"

The short answer is, it's a personal preference and completely up to you.

The longer answer is, I HIGHLY recommend doing a "First Look!" Why? Your wedding day is going to go by SO FAST! It's so nice to be able to share a few tender and quiet moments alone with your partner, before you say "I do." Once you've walked back down the aisle together, you'll be heading to the reception. You'll have speeches and dancing and all of your favorite people surrounding you. The First Look gives you a chance to bask in the love you two feel for each other, without everyone watching. If you've written letters to each other, this is a great time to read them. If your partner doesn't like to show emotion in public, the first look gives them the private opportunity to be overcome with emotion the first time they see you in your dress, knowing that the next time he sees you, you'll be walking down the aisle towards him, to become his wife. While it's wonderful and amazing to celebrate one of the most important days of your life, surrounded by your family and friends, this day is really about the two of you and the love you share. These special moments alone will be ones you always remember.

Even I, as the photographer, get teary-eyed during the First Looks! So again, it's completely up to you if you want to do a First Look or not, but as your future friend, I'm here to encourage you to take those extra few moments alone with your spouse-to-be.
